Believe it or not, before reviewing
Sony DVD players
for the site I had never previously viewed one single DVD on a Sony unit. As much as that may come to a surprise to some, including myself, I've just never had a friend or colleague who owned a Sony DVD unit. I've also never just walked up to one in an electronics store and pressed play. Bad karma? A sign from above? Who knows.
My first impression after reviewing my first half dozen Sony DVD players was that I didn't like the remote control layout. The performance of the units was generally very good, great picture, nice functions and features, but the remote control seemed not to fit in with the rest of the package. Other brands do a better job here.
