| Editorial Reviews: | | | | | Ready for HD done the Sony way? Sony's KDL-46V4100 brings 1080p picture quality home with amazing, Sony-exclusive features like the XMB (Xross Media Bar) with 3D graphics, DMeX capability so you can add functionality to your TV, and picture quality technologies like ACE (Advanced Contrast Enhancer) and BRAVIA Engine 2. Full HD 1080p means the V4100 connections accept 1080p signals and the Display will render that signal in Full HD 1080p. Take full advantage of Blu-ray Disc players and PlayStation(R) 3 systems that can deliver 1080p content. The latest version of Sony's respected BRAVIA Engine fully Digital video processor uses a collection of unique SONY algorithms to significantly reduce noise and produce sharp, vibrant, life-like images. With Sony's Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE), which uses real-time image processing to dynamically adjust backlight levels for improved Contrast without masking details the filmmaker intended you to see. ACE delivers deep blacks in darker scenes, as well as fine details in shadows and other dark areas of the picture for a difference you can truly see. | | I am completely satisifed with my purchase. The pricing I received was great on the 46" Sony Bravia and to learn I would not have to pay sales tax or shipping was just icing on the cake. I ordered my Sony on a Satursday and the shipper had received the item and was ready to deliver it by Wednesday. I was very impressed with the delivery timeframe and the shipper. The delivery people were friendly and allowed me to take the time needed to assure my Sony was in perfect condition -- and it was! I love my Sony Bravia and am VERY pleased with my overall purchase. I would definitely look at Amazon again when making a large purchase.

| | First - We went with the free delivery choice, the TV was delivered in 3 business days, by a White Glove delivery team. They called to set up an appointment to deliver the TV and were on time. Second - Setup, it took my husband and adult son about 2 hours to figure out how to get everything working. Thank God we have children to show us how to work the remote! We love the TV. The picture is unbelievable, we watched a 3-D movie the other night and it was incredible. The speakers are fine - we will eventually upgrade to a surround sound, but that is just because my husband wants to, it is not really necessary.

| | This is the 4th large LCD TV I've ordered from amazon this year. This one was for my Aunt and she is totally thrilled with the set. The only think lacking is the 120hz. I have it on my 52 xbr4 but I also have a 46" Sony much like this one in 1080P and it's fine. The xbr4 is far above most in my un-expert opinion but I also love the 46" without the 120hz. You really need to look at both sets to determine if you'll appreciate the difference. If you're set on a 120hz set; the Z set Sony has out now is a great deal. Keep in mind, Sony has almost no glare from any light source; a huge selling point in my opinion.

| | This is my first HD TV. After researching for about a month, I have compared Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba, and finally chose this Sony. All these TVs are top-rated and have great picture quality, but what pushed me to the Sony were 3 things:
1. Sound - Sony is the only model with a sound bar in the front which produces better sounds than other brands. 2. Look - Sony has a silver sound bar and a small space with glass underneath the LCD screen. It just looks better than most of the other brands that feature all black frames. 3. Reliability - I am basing this on past experience. My last 2 TVs were both Sony. They each lasted over 12 years. In fact both are still working today. I expect this Sony HD TV to be just as reliable.
Although Sony TVs are a bit more expensive than the other brands, I think the 3 factors above justified the premium. An added bonus was the delivery from Amazon - I ordered this TV on Thursday night and it was delivered and set up in my house on Saturday afternoon!! I guess I got lucky because I live close to an Amazon warehouse where they have the TV in stock. Anyway, it was a pleasant surprise.
