Editorial Reviews:
The Denon S-302 system is designed for total no-compromise audio and video, featuring state-of-the-art sound and image enhancing technologies including high quality video circuit using high precision video DAC. Even with its compact size, its dynamic sound is evident from the bottom to the top. Denon's experienced electronics engineering and latest technology make everything alive as ever. The Denon original AL24 Processing technology found on Denon's A/V receivers and DVD/CD players is built into the S-302, which allows closer-to-the-original sound reproduction of digitalized music signals. The Denon original high quality DVD drive mechanism together with its careful chasis construction actualizes stable disc rotation and concise signal reading , thereby adding further to the finest in sound and image production. The speakers are fine-tuned for both sound track and movie, and they can be wall-mounted, attached to the optional shelf stands (ASF-S05), or to the optional floor stands (ASF-S07) to fit one's life style. With Denon's electronics engineering, Audyssey Dynamic EQ & Bass-XT turn into reality to give powerful and dynamic audio and movie reproduction through the systems. The volume level of the slim yet powerful subwoofer can be adjusted if ever required. When coupled with the The optional ASD-3N WiFi certified dock for iPod, the S-102 gains the ability to decode MP3 and WMA formats as well as AAC, WAV, and those encoded in Free Lossless Audio Codec, as well as the ability to stream music either via Ethernet, or wirelessly from Internet Radio sources and other network attached storage devices, PC or Mac computers on the network. Can decode MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV and Free Lossless Audio Codec formats and play streaming audio (requires ASD-3N WiFi certified iPod dock.)

Great concept, but...
2 out of 5 stars.
The Denon S-102 is a great system: It has everything you could want in an attractive, simple, and easy to set-up, package. It plays AM/FM, CDs and DVDs, and the sound is amazing. However, for close to a thousand dollars, one would expect a certain level of quiet in the speakers when switching between functions and low-level DVD watching. Thinking I had a lemon (that made noise), I had a new one shipped to me. But the problem was still there - a 'fluttering' sound coming from the subwoofer that could best be described a combination of distortion and electrical static. Needless to say, I returned both units. I am in the process of looking for a replacement, perhaps of another brand...

Simply the best!
5 out of 5 stars.
High quality, beautiful picture and awesome sound. The Denon S102 is perfect for the person looking for the absolute best without all the clutter of a 5.1 system and the old looking equipment still on the market today. I am the type of person that researches extensively befor investing into somthing and this system fits my needs perfectly. I paired it up with a Samsung LN-T 4071 and I wanted a clean look to mount on a wall with no wires, stands or a stack of recievers, dvd player vcr etc.. We watch mostly movies dvds and I can honestly say the sound quality rivals that of my 5.1 polk system that was twice the cost. Easy setup took about 15 minuites including taking it out of the box. The first thing you will notice when puting it together is how simple and easy it is and how much attention to detail went into this system. Well worth the cost. In this case less is more... much more.
