Review of Onkyo Home Theater Receivers.

Onkyo Home Theater Receivers Onkyo is another manufacturer that I put up there with some of the top-level home theater receiver brands. Consistent, better than average performance and features, coupled with reasonable affordability and availability. A strong choice. Slightly higher price than average.

Again, as with other products and brands reviewed throughout the Home Theater System Review site, most of my current opinion of this brand formed early in my life. Much as a photocopier today is commonly called a Xerox machine, or a cotton swab is called a Q-Tip, or a facial tissue is called a Kleenex, Onkyo is one the first brands which comes to mind when audio receivers are mentioned. One of my brothers used to own an Onkyo stereo receiver. It was loud and it was crystal clear. That was 15 years ago. I still make the same association in my head today.

Onkyo home theater receivers are widely available and somewhat competitive in price. What I can say is that they will excel in performance compared to simlarly priced units. More power, more features, features that meet current standards. Onkyo, a very good choice.
