When it comes to home theater systems, the Sony DAV-HDX275 BRAVIA is easily one of the most technologically advanced, new age products on the market. While many systems are bogged down with the same old technology, Sony has stepped out a little bit with this product, providing accessories and options that are truly friendly to the technologically inclined consumers in today’s market. The system itself provides a huge amount of sound power and quality. It is highlighted by 5.1 digital audio, which powers up to 1000 watts of sound into your home. With five speakers and a strong sub-woofer, this system is truly one of the most dynamic on the market today.

While many home theater systems are designed to provide good sound quality, few come with the consumer friendly features of the Sony DAV-HDX275 BRAVIA. It comes with the capability of holding up to five different DVDs or compact discs. In addition, just about everything on the system has automatic calibration, meaning it adjusts for the position of your speakers without any work on your part. Another nice thing about this home theater system is that it had HDMI capability, meaning it can adjust to the new televisions, as well as some older screens.

System Pros
There are quite a few positives that go along with owning this system, most of them having to do with ease of use. This system is one of the first on the market to come with one-touch technology. This is a new feature that has basically simplified things for you, and allows you to control advanced functions of the system with only a single click of a remote. This is a step up from the days when you might have to adjust a number of different switches in order to get the result you were looking for.

Another pro to owning this system is that it comes complete with capability for most media devices. If you are like most people, you will want to play music from your iPod through the speakers of your new system. The Sony DAV-HDX275 BRAVIA has an iPod dock, and has the capability to play other sorts of new media, as well. The setup and installation of these things is extremely easy, as with most aspects of this system.

The system comes complete with a digital signal processor, which in layman’s terms means that your sound quality will be enhanced even greater. No matter if you are playing music from an iPod, watching a DVD through that player, or just watching the game on digital cable, the sound will adjust to perfectly suit your room. It is this feature that certainly makes this system one that’s worth your consideration.

System Cons
One of the problems with this system is that, while it does have ports for your media hookups, it does not have more than one. That means if you are toggling between a couple of external sound applications, you will have to do a little bit of work in changing out the cords every so often. In addition, there is only one HDMI hookup, so you have limited capability there.

Overall, the system is a good one and it is a progressive step in the right direction for Sony. They have really stepped it up in terms of trying to provide the best sound quality, while also providing premium peripheral capabilities for customers. This system is not the absolute best thing that you can buy on the market, but it provides a great deal of sound power and application capability for the price that you’ll be paying, making it quite a value.

The Sony HT7200DH is an ideal starter system for people just getting into the home theater market. This is my first time out using any kind of home theater system. Overall is sounds just great. Whether I play music or movies, they all sound really good. I especially enjoy the surround sound while watching movies.

Gosh, I can’t believe how easy it was to set up for a beginner. It has quite a few inputs, outputs and syncs. However the speakers and sub are not that great and therefore I would give them a poor rating.

If you don’t really know anything about theater systems, purchasing all of the components in the complete box is a good way to go for the novice. After thinking about it, even though I am happy with the system, if I were to purchase again, I would buy the individual components. I already had another set of quality speakers in another room that I attached to the system. They out perform the Sony speakers that came in the box.

When I initially set out to purchase a home theater system, one of the major concerns that I had was that the unit could provide a high volume level. This system certainly met the expectations that I was looking for. In general I use the volume at 20 for regular TV viewing. And when I watch movies or any type of sports events, I like to set the volume on about 30.

The remote control is what you might call, kind of sub standard. Because, it doesn’t really have the power to work effectively from great distances. My recommendation to you would be to purchase a quality universal remote. The speaker cable that comes with the package is a standard sized cable. In order to set up the system for some rooms you may want to invest in some longer cables to give you the length that you may need.

Other than the remote and the speaker cable, the overall system is great. You get really good sound with plenty of inputs in a stylish design for a great low price.

A solid home theater system can make it seem as if you are in the world of the film you are watching or the game you are playing. Theater systems are a great way to connect everything from game consoles to televisions and DVD players so that you have an eye-catching entertainment system that is accessible with the flick of a remote. When it comes time to choose your home theater system, there are many pros and cons to consider. The following are some things to consider when considering the Sony HT-SS2300 system.

Experts and customers alike both love the slim design of this model. This is one of the most highly praised features of the home theater system. The design allows for a beautiful and sleek appearance. For those who want a system that looks high-tech, this is the model for them. Additionally, it makes finding space for this model that much easier: one won’t have to worry about a bulky or unattractive system cluttering up the room.

Because the model is slim, its components are made to be easy to set up. Gone are the days where the room will be full of wires and random bits and pieces. This home theater system is easy to piece together, and this is a big part of its allure.

The Sony HT-SS2300 is made to be easy to use, which is another major pro to the model. To make use that much easier, the system calibrates with the microphone automatically. Even if you need to move a speaker or some other piece of the system, all a person has to do is hook up the microphone and press a button.

One of the major cons to the model is the Sony HT-SS2300 ’s wires. Though the model is easy to set up, it is incredibly difficult to hide the model’s wires. This is a major problem for people who have pets or children or for those who can’t stand to see so many wires peeking out.

Though people loved the design of the system, some thought it might be a little too basic for their needs. In fact, many people said that the sound was fine for the price of the model, but they had hoped it would be better.

If you’re thinking about a simple upgrade from your current television speakers and want to enter the wonderful world of home theater ownership, you really can’t go wrong with the Sony HTDDWG700 component home theater system. For around two hundred dollars you get a receiver and five high quality speakers with an 8 inch active subwoofer for 5.1 surround sound. The unit produces a healthy 900 watts of power, which is perfect for a smaller room or if you don’t plan on making your neighbor’s teeth rattle. One of the added bonuses of this unit is the included iPod dock, which is a great feature to have considering the low price of the HTDDWG700.

If you’re thinking about purchasing the Sony HTDDWG700, know that it is definitely not for audiophiles. The receiver has limited capabilities and while the speakers do a great job, they are definitely not top of the line. The receiver also does not have HDMI input, so if you’re looking for a receiver to handle true HD pass through in the future, this is certainly not the one you’re looking for. The HTDDWG700 does have both coaxial and optical digital input, which offers two options for great sounding 5.1 surround sound from a standard DVD player. One common complaint with the HTDDWG700 is that they receiver seems a bit large for the performance it gives, so those with space concerns might want to look for a slimmer unit.

Overall the Sony HTDDWG700 offers a great value for what it offers at a low price, but those looking for more features should look elsewhere.

If you’re looking to upgrade your current speaker system to something more robust or wanting to go beyond the limitations of your display’s built in speakers, then the Sony HT-IS100 BRAVIA micro system is something you might want to consider. The unit has built in sound processing, so you don’t need to have a receiver to enjoy 5.1 surround sound. It also offers one-touch operation of any compatible Sony devices. One of the biggest selling points of this unit, aside from the all-in-one functionality, is the size of the speakers. The HT-IS100’s speakers are fantastically small, roughly the size of a golf ball, and they produce rich and full bodied sound. The unit produces 450 watts of power, which is enough for most people who don’t want to anger their neighbors.

At around seven hundred dollars, the Sony HT-IS100 BRAVIA is fairly pricey so those on a budget might want to look at other products. And while it does all the processing needed, accepts up to 3 HDMI inputs as having a Digital Media that connects to a range of optional accessories like the included iPod dock, it does have limitations over having a stand alone receiver, so you should carefully consider your needs before purchasing the Sony HT-IS100 BRAVIA micro system.

Sony has built an entertainment product line through the years that has set the pace for the competition. The company is dedicated to bringing cutting edge technology into the homes of a diverse group of consumers. Almost everyone at some point has owned a Sony product and that is part of reason why Sony has become the powerhouse it is today. It’s not that Sony’s products are necessarily better their competition, it’s because Sony has spent a lot of money getting the consumer to perceive that their products are a better value and that has been one of the secrets to their success.

Home theater systems are big business today. The movie industry has done a great job of bringing the big screen into our homes. One of Sony’s products, the HT DDWG700 has made an impact on that market. It is considered a great value, as well as a powerful system that is perfect for the consumer who is entering the home theater market for the first time.

The HT DDWG700 has everything almost anyone needs to enjoy a full audio experience whether it is from DVD’s, digital cable or other sources. It’s has all the ingredients. It’s a 5.1 channel 900 watt receiver with 5 satellite speakers and a subwoofer with an 8 inch bass. It has Dolby Digital DTS and the Pro Logic II decoding. The 30 station preset AM/FM tuner has 20 FM and 10 AM channel settings. The system is equipped with Digital Cinema Sound which enhances the audio for action films, comedies and dramas. The Auto calibration function will automatically do the adjustment for distance, speaker placement and delay. The microphone is an important part of that feature. The size of the system is perfect for small spaces. It measures 17” Wide x 5.75” High x 12.12 inches Deep. The system comes with a remote that is not universal and the system has a one year warranty.

Those features make the Sony HT DDWG700 a great value. You don’t have to fool around with the speakers to find the right sound field; the auto calibration function makes that a simple process. This system actually conforms to your home space, rather than trying to make it work because of pre-existing operational requirements. The five base-reflex satellite speakers are awesome; four are for the front and rear channels and one is for the center. It also has a digital clock and a sleep timer, as well as optical and coaxial digital inputs.

Another great feature of the system is that it is magnetically shielded against video interference, which means you can put the speakers near the TV and not experience any picture distortion. The system comes with a user’s manual, two AA batteries, foot pads for the subwoofer and 20 more for the other components.

No system is perfect for everyone. There are always things that don’t fit people’s needs or expectations. This system is a little heavier than the Panasonic SC-HT40 and the bass is little too “bassy” and bulky for some consumers. Some complain that the remote is not a universal remote. Other consumer say that the speaker wires are too thin and can’t be replaced and that the subwoofer doesn’t have enough bass. As you can see everyone has different thoughts about the same system and most of the issues with this system are personal preferences rather than flaws.

This Sony product has been well received in the home theater marketplace. It stands up to the competition as far as value, quality and performance. Some consumer prefer Panasonic SC-PT660 or Phillips HTS 3450 over this Sony home theater system but it’s not because this system is inferior, it’s all a matter of choice and price.

Many home theater systems have been devised over the years but very few are as impressive as the Sony BDVIS1000. This is without a doubt one of the very best Blu-ray home theater systems on the market and anyone looking to purchase a home entertainment center should seriously consider the Sony BDVIS1000. The picture quality of this Blu-Ray system is stunning. For detail and clarity, it is really tough to top the disk player included in the system.

The Sony BDVIS1000 is also excellent for those who are looking for fine audio quality in their viewing experience. The speakers may be small in size but they deliver an excellent listening experience. This is no minor point because many great Hollywood films have brilliant sound mixing. These mixes can be heard in all their glory through the Sony BDVIS1000.

But, does the Sony BDVIS1000 require a complicated setup process? No, it does not require much effort at all to set up. In fact, you could probably hook it up within minutes after bringing it home. That means you can watch your favorite disk without any needless delays do to a laborious setup procedure.

Here’s the bottom line: as far as Blu-ray and home entertainment systems go, the Sony BDVIS1000 is among the best of the best.
